Some Interesting Blogs...
I just clicked open a couple of recently edited blogs, and the two that I opened I think I may actually check regularly. Here you go!
The Marriage Stuff Blog: http://mymarriagestuff.blogspot.com/
The Freethought Mom Blog: http://freethoughtmom.blogspot.com/
The first one seems to have really good Christian advice for marriage, drawn mostly from experience. The second one I haven't figured out what she believes exactly yet (she's an atheist, yes) but it's interesting and she goes into explanations and theologies everywhere and is highly confrontational, though I usually disagree with her (obviously). There's another one I have to find again, but it's a cool guy who uses scripture to refute atheism.
That's all the time I have right now, but enjoy! I like having a new brother--it's weird, but really fun. :) Have a good one!
Here's a poem I wrote after chapel today. We were talking about worship and how we so often just sing the words without meaning it. I mean, how can God really be all we want when I really want to get married? It's a different kind of want. God says He will grant us the desires of our hearts, and our greatest desire should be Him. That's what I mean when I say God is all I want. So here's a poem I wrote to attempt to express how I love God.
How Do I Love My God?
How do I love my God?
Even I do not know.
It is beyond my understanding.
He is the only thing I need;
He is the essense of who I am.
Without Him, I am nothing.
How do I love my God?
He is holy and eternal;
He is love and truth;
He is everything pure and good.
Without Him, there is no light.
How do I love my God?
Words cannot describe it.
I cannot live without Him!
The darkest time of life is but a shadow
As His light shines in my soul.
He leads and directs my path.
When I stumble, He lifts me;
When I cannot find strength,
He is my source.
How do I love my God?
Even the wisest cannot tell.
It is deeper than I can fathom
And higher than I can reach.
Because He loves me,
I am able to love Him.
Because I love Him
I know how to love others.
I love my God in worship
And with my life.
He is everything to me.
