Good End to My Day
Yesterday was an up-down-up day for me. It started out with me writing the first page of another story, and this one's going to be longer than any I've written yet. That was great. Then I got a call from mom telling me my grandma probably won't last the week. That wasn't so great. Please pray that she's not in pain. Then I had to work and was trying to keep my mind occupied for my three-hour shift (no easy feat!) and then went to Chosen practice, which is my travelling music team. Well, we didn't really have much to do for practice, and on sudden inspiration we wrote a song as a team! It's a rockin' punk song that'll be great for youth services, and it actually stems from a dull but good message in chapel yesterday. It doesn't quite do it justice, but try to imagine this in a punk song:
(TITLE)
I'm tryin' way too hard
To fit in
To the mould they made for me
Don't wanna be like them (2x)
(Help me break free) (2x)
I'm trying way to hard
To pass the test
I studied oh, so hard
But I failed You yet again (2x)
(Help me break free) (2x)
I can't go wrong with Your love
Show me what You are made of
In Your hands You mould and make me
Break me from this mould they gave me
Okay, so that doesn't really do it justice at all, but take my word for it--it's awesome. We don't even know who wrote which part for sure, but it's great and it was fun! Kay, that's all for now. God bless!
