I Have a 10 Year-Old Boyfriend!

Happy Valentine's Day one and all, whether you celebrate it alone or with another! Today I found out that a 10 year-old boy happens to consider me one of his two girlfriends. :) Many of you remember about Colton--the first long-term "love" of my teens till college. Well, I spent a lot of time with his family back then, and he has three younger siblings. One of these is TJ, and he has two sisters, Anna and Abby. Well, today Colton's dad came up to me to tell me a story.

His two girls (ages 12 and 13) are constantly talking about boys right now, and he was with all three kids when he looked at them and said, "You girls are always talking about boys. Why doesn't TJ talk about girls?"
Anna and Abby just laughed and TJ blushed. The girls looked at their dad and said "Daddy, TJ already has two girlfriends!" They giggled because they knew something he didn't know.
"Well, are you going to tell me who they are?" he asked. They told him the first one was a far-away girlfriend who happens to be a MK (missionary's kid) in Taiwan. "And who's the other one?
Anna looked at him and smiled. "She lives in town here. She's a little bit older, though."
Puzzled, the dad sat trying to decipher her riddle. She went on, "I can give you her initials. L....uh....K."
He still had no clue. "Hmm...can you at least give me the first name?" He was hoping they would, as he watched TJ sit idly by, bashful but hopeful.
"L-I-Z!"
At this he laughed, smiled as TJ ran upstairs, and knew that his son had a crush on his eldest's former girlfriend.

So there you have it. I have a 10 year-old boyfriend on this Valentine's Day, and tomorrow's his birthday, so I'm going to write his dad and email for him to tell him happy birthday from me. I had told Rachel once last year how TJ had a crush on me--now she'll believe it. :) Poor Colton...out done by his little brother! What a cutie. :) Okay, I need to go study for my test tonight. Ick.
