What a Day!
Rachel made it much better by being able to talk to me for a while, and that means Brianna made it better by going to work for her when she was sick. So thank you both! What made my day so bad? For one, I felt like I was at a lock-in last night and never got around to sleeping after it. I don't know why--guess my sleep (7 hours) last night wasn't very restful? Then I studied for these two tests today, and I did just fine on the first one, but I'll be surprised if I got a 50% on the second one. And no, I'm not exaggerating on that one. I bombed it. The worst thing is, the last test in that class I figured out why it was difficult--it was written in King James. So I studied for this test in King James. (The class is Corinthians, by the way). I read everything I needed to read. I started to tear-up after the first question. That was the only question I knew, and it simply asked what the focus of 1 Corinthians chapter 12 was. That was easy--I knew that before class. There were certain verses we had to memorize, and I only missed one or two words on each of those. No big deal. But when one of the EASIER other questions was "in verse 15 of the second chapter, which two words did Paul use to describe" something or other. I HAVE NO FRIGGIN IDEA!!! What is that anyways? All of them were that specific. And he usually does multiple choice and true/false questions (mind you, I've had over 30 tests with this prof in the last three and a half years), but this test was comprised nearly entirely of short answer and a few fill-in-the-blank with the occasional true/false question and only three multiple choice questions that each had more than one answer. I've had a rough day since then because I shouldn't ever do that horribly on a test. I only think I got a 50% if I GUESSED well on it, too. I felt prepared for it before I got there--then I got there. Oh, and it was written in KJ, so I had that right. Anyways, then I went to start my car and the battery was dead--I don' t know why--nothing was on and I haven't used it since last Thursday. Then I got out to check on everything in the engine, and what do you know? The hood is stuck shut from the deer hitting it and it being all smashed together. GRRR. It's been a bad day. But John has been absolutely wonderful asking what he can do if anything to make it better. I told him he could eat dinner with me...and now I'm doing homework in the library. Well, obviously I'm taking a break. But you get my drift anyways. Okay, I'll be home for Thanksgiving. Oh, on a great note!?!?! This weekend ROCKED! Everytime I think of it I smile today, so that's good. We did a youth service for about 25 teens at a baptist church on Saturday night, and 2 people got saved and 2 rededicated their lives to Christ! It rocked! Then we were only supposed to play for the Sunday morning service on Sunday at the AG church, but when we were finished, we were asked if we'd be willing to stay a couple hours longer and do the worship for the spanish service. We did that, too, so it was fun. My drumming was adequate. I gotta get back to my homework now. See you next week, I hope!
