An Interesting Development...

For most of you I haven't had the chance to tell yet, I'm officially a drummer. Talk about being WAY out of my comfort zone! I'm the lead singer for a travelling youth worship team, and we've as of yet been unable to find a drummer, so our acoustic player was going to jump-in every now and again. Well, he was basically awful enough I didn't want to hear him even attempt to play again, so just to mess around I jumped on the set for a song, and we spent and hour playing it. It sounded GREAT! It's all God, I know, because I can't play drums, but I'm officially the drummer for Chosen. Wow...talk about being stretched! Other than that, I have a convention this weekend that I get to be on a worship team and play congas and french horn in front of nearly 1000 people on Thursday and Friday. I feel so blessed that God is using me in worship! :) We leave for Minneapolis in just a couple hours now. I'll let you know how it goes! I also got up an hour and a half early to go to breakfast this morning so I could see John before I leave. Guess I got it bad. ;) We come back from the convention on Friday, and Friday night John and I are heading out to Rapid City, SD so I can meet his parents. I'm soooo looking forwad to it! Have a very blessed weekend. I'll be back on Monday night if I can't get online at all before then.

Rachel's Engaged!?!

Yup--she is! Congrats and good luck to her and Cody! :) Other than that, I just had a GREAT weekend. I went camping with a few friends, including John, and we just had a relaxing time all getting to know each other better. I've been keeping in touch with my mom a lot better than I ever have in my entire life. A lot of that is thanks to John. I have kept her in the loop the entire way so far, and I plan on continuing. :) I'm gonna try keeping in touch with the rest of my family better. We're honestly all pretty busy and bad at keeping in touch other than once in a while getting together for holidays or if we happen to have the same weekend free, which doesn't happen too often. My mom told me my oldest brother is worried about me, and he doesn't really have the need to be. So I discovered I haven't kept him in my life, and I want him to be a part of it. I want all my siblings to be a big part of it. God comes first, then school and my family, and then my other relaitonships, in my opinion. But it's never been that way. I love you all dearly and I pray for you often. So help me out! Let's start emailing and calling more. :) And call mom once in a while--she likes it too. Of course, the only two of you who check this do that anyways...so call me! :D God is awesome. He's molding me into a real woman of God--willing to put Him first for once. I've never felt this much peace in my life, especially while building a relationship that I'd like to see last. Okay, I've rambled on enough. God bless you!
